PS: I did NOT open any SR or contact seneator or ask lawyer to get in touch with USCIS. Just waited patiently. Did my Finger Printing in October 2007. No FP after that did paper filing for EAD & AP so no FP for those as well. My advise is to hang in there. Not to open too many SR's but thats entirely upto your discretion. Some people swear it helped them for my case I did not use that option.
Hope this date line helps those who are waiting for their cards. Good luck to every one on forum. I will still be supporting IV and contributing to Wiki as always.

How current is the online status on this uscis website ?
I check it every day ..
For my husband, even though it said card production ordered, the tier 1 customer service said that it was still pending.
But still he got his card, then only after a few days, the cust service also said the same status..
anybody faced this ambiquity with customer service ?

how to use the spillover is purely an USCIS decision. Only to use the spillover to avoid wastage is a law, which is already in place. Infact USCIS was not doing this top down approach on spill over few years ago, this is a new practice they are following since last Fiscal Year, so I strongly believe if Congressmen/women puts pressure/more request it can be changed to a fair application of visa spillover to benefit all that are in the queue for a long wait.

I have a question from members who are getting ADIT Processing message. When did you file your I-485's? I am trying to figure out if USCIS is approving cases for those who filed recently w/o waiting for the ADIT or is it that the case was filed long time back and the previous ADIT has expired.

This link is for section 245 in TITLE 8 OF CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS (8 CFR) (I think!) . This CFR may have other sections of use for us. For example, there may be section 240 that explains some other GC stage.
Please post a link that is table of contents of CFR. That is, it gives all section titles in CFR: Sec 1, Sec 2, .. Sec 245, Sec 246, ... Thanks!

Been in the US since 1998, have an EB-2 PD of 2001, have played by the rules all along. Still no GC... And, the dates are going back to 2000 from the new year.. I've lost hopes...
I'm pretty close to getting clinical depression because of this game played by USCIS, Labor Dept, FBI and my own bad luck.
SKILL bill, OMNIBUS, etc. comes and goes. IV does seem to be doing things to lobby for the community, but let's face one reality. Like a news article said, no one in congress or senate wants to touch immigration even with a long pole until 2009.
The US has been very good to me (other than the GC part), more than my home country (India) which is why I'm still here.

By does not allow to work, I meant, restricted in taking other opportunities that the person might be eligible to take. Even with AC-21, one is restricted to the field in which one originally applied for EB visa. Actually, because it is indefinite, it makes the case stronger that these people are here indefinitely and so should not be restricted in employment opportunities. Being for a temporary period, obviously one can be restricted any way, like say people on visitor visa not being allowed to work.

Well said!. It is simply a sign of immaturity that some people will just complain but are not willing to do the work , not willing to understand the issue and not willing to understaing the constraints.

I did not want to respond you but here's what can be achieved by lifting the country caps even for 2 years. If you lift the country cap, oldest PDs get the green Cards irrespective of their country, considering it's Indians & Chinese who are stuck the most, believe it or not, India will get all of 140K Visas, you can easily expect India and china to come at par with ROW, I know with your intelligence level, it is hard for you to understand, but if you are in a line, you are always going to get benefited if more people before you get eliminated fom the queue...

On Aug 17th the message changed to "On Aug 16th Card Production Ordered...."
when should I expect the card in mail?
Did you receive the welcome notices? The 797 approval notices is what I mean.
Once you get that, from there within a weeks times you should get your physical cards.
From the CPO mail at the most 2 weeks. That is the trend.

Please also add the wordings that we need only the pledge, people may go ahead and donate to the IV fund by mistake.
It should be along the lines..
"Members please pledge the amount. Do NOT pay right now. Since these funds are to be directed towards reimbursing the administrative costs of the core team , we are not going to be adding it to the IV funds. We are working on a strategy to get this amount across to the IV core team members. We will instruct you on how to make the payment, once we formulate a strategy"
As for the target amount, i think the least minimum would be the $64K , which Aman spent already. Soon we will get a collective amount of what has been spent by all the core IV team members and then set the final target amount. What do you think ?
