Once you abandon H1B and get canadian PR, you will need visitor visa to come back to US. My friend did that he comes quite often to visit us.

got my receipts today.
Case Details:
i-485/EAD/AP sent on 7/25 and reached NSC on 7/26 for my self and my wife.
i-140 still pending at NSC.
Got the receipts for all 6 cases from lawyer today.
i-485 for me and my wife got transfered to TSC and pending.
Case status shows Received on 7/26 and EAD approved for me and my wife from TSC on 09/26.
AP pending in TSC.

I have created a Shared Spreadsheet with the list of people who have pledged in favor of this effort.

Everyone can view it, but unfortunately, i didn'y think it was ideal for everyone to edit. I will be more than happy to grant Edit access to a few more folks who are willing to help. Also, from security point of view, i think we should add our IV handle instead of real name. Since we have email ID's and ph#, we can be in touch as soon as it it time for action.
Please keep sending me ur details to add to this list. Remember, we only proceed if we have atleast 1000 pledged members.
I will keep publishing this sheet from time to time on this thread so people know.

After two years in the US, I told my employer that I want to file for GC...
Going to and fro he spent 8 months sayign that he is in the process of doing it...Then he gave me the papers to sign...After that he kept telling me that the lawyer had filed it for one and a half year...In April 04 employer changed lawyers...The new lawyer tried to find all cases at the DOL...My case and one of my friends case is 'missing'...They telling me that is old lawyers fault.....They told us to file a new cases...I am sitting around since July 04.....I am so sick of this whole thing.....
July 04 was my chance to change job or go back...I decided to stick with the job...my bad...Now I am really stuck.....Am waiting for 8th year extension...Wife finishing MS in May and baby on way....I am stuck with dead end job...not well paid......

Called the service center.Muiltiple times.Opened SR twice still no FP yet.
Mine is a NSC->TSC case.

What does ADIT processing means any idea is that we need to go to local USCIS office for the interview?
Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

should we also try another vendor just to diversify the risk of this one deciding not to deliver. I will do some research to see which others a re available.

I agree with you vin13, remove country quota or by number of years we are legally here in US.
Base on PD is not fare enough. Many of us filed GC vary late because of one or many reasons.
I understand why you all are not favoring my call, since you all are EB2, EB3 is suffering because of no movement and huge backlog and EB2 is gaining because of Spillover, so you all are not favoring this. Anyway we are trying our best to get some relief for those hanging around with older priority date, let's see...

Getting really worried now! What happened to our packages? I asked my lawyer and he said all the applications filed together with mine have received receipts except mine? Is that normal? Did you guys ask your lawyer? Did the applications filed together with yours all get receipts?

We filed i485 on Aug 1st still no news from receipt.
I don't know which office, the lawyer took care of it.

I have to do the landing before june, 2008.
I have already used AP to enter US after my last trip to India. So IO at POE canada will know that I have pending 485. don't know how to handle this situation.
I am planning to do the landing in last week of may via Niagra falls. (toronto)
anyone with similar status done landing please share your experience.

Some do not like Porting; some do not like Spillover allocation. And some do not like the interfiling. Remember, interfiling is like porting too.
Porting is the law right now. It is not easy to change the law these days.
Even if the law is modified, people who already started the porting process will be grandfathered. Thousands of porting application will be filed before the modified law become effective. That is what happened during PERM introduciton.

LUDs: This may mean some processing on our files whether it is approved I140 or approved H1B. My first H1B of year 1998 got LUD as 07/07/07, year 2002 H1B got LUD in June 2007 and I-140 LUD as 07/28/2007. But in the current 485 context, I think NSC is updating our I-140 files based on current residence and putting some flag to segregate files for NSC or TSC. Seeing few threads, what I noticed is if someone living in NSC jurisdiction states like Illinois, Arizona etc, NSC started issuing receipt notices irrespective of where his/her 140 approved. So here is the matrix.

If someone has contradictory scenario, please speak up.

from USCIS.. I took the LIN number from there and Queries USCIS - they says USCIS received my App on May 15th and under processing....
I took a Print out of that 140 receipt Notice and will attach with 485 Application... My approval will not come before Jan-Feb 2008.
Just wanted to let you know, if your 140 is pending, you will have to submit the receipt notice and also the copy of labor cert showing the PD. Read page 4 below the NSC mailing address.
